Sophie’s name is now Miss Maudie (after a character in my all-time favorite book, To Kill a Mockingbird).
She is doing very well, and has adapted remarkably well here at home…she already has run of the house.
She is just precious, and so, so loving!
Attached are some pics we have taken in the last few days.

You had said that you like to see how they are doing, so here is a photo of Tinkerbell (right) and her “sister,” Frida.
Kevin

From Stacy at NBCR:
Tinkerbell is the tiny one - she is Capt Hook’s sister (NBCR’s 3-legged rescue from Garland Animal Shelter). His other cat is Frida - he found her on the side of the road as a very tiny kitten. She is now 6 months. They’re not related, but Tinkerbell looks like a Mini-me next to her. He picked out her green collar the day he adopted her.

Hi Stacy and Happy New Year!
I just wanted to send you another update on the progress that Juliet has made. Here is a picture of her sleeping behind my laptop in my home office. The office is the farthest room from our bedroom on the first floor and she’s making regular trips into the office (or the dining room, across the hall) to visit with me or my husband. She will even walk past Bumpy (our bull mastiff) in order to come into the office. (Not the case with Macey, but I don’t blame her for that.) Last night I even saw her playing with a jingle ball in the breakfast nook area – despite the fact that Herman was sitting under the table and the doggies were roaming the house.
Juliet has realized that humans can be good things and she actively seeks out our company instead of just tolerating us when we come into the bedroom.
I think in another few months, she may even try and explore the upstairs.
Regards,
Beth (Juliet’s adopter)

Hi Stacy,
Happy New Year and a special thanks to you and all at NBCR. Little Foster says, “Too much New Years’ celebration.” However, he’s now fully recovered and back to is his previous kitteny feisty self.

Cheers,
Glen and Lana
P.S: Boogie and Foster are getting along fine. She’s even washing him now (when they’re not chasing each other in play).

Hi, Angela. We wanted to bring Lilly to have her picture made with Santa, but we had to be out of town that weekend, so we took her to our local Petsmart. She is so precious. She has her little stocking and she loves to sleep under the tree. Jay is already planning her birthday party at the end of January.
Thank you so much for finding Lilly for us! We love her and she is such a big part of our family now. I hope you are busy finding all sorts of kitties homes for the holidays.
Take care and have a wonderful holiday.
Andrea C.
(Isn’t she pretty?!)

Sparkle is the twinkle in everyone’s eyes. She plays with our male cat, Lancelot
Jones (a grey fluffy boy), and still loves to play fetch. She actually asks me to play!
She is a beauty, too. After a really bad cold, Sparkle is a strong cat and an excellent
addition to my home! I’m not certain what my home was like before she came to
live with us. She is the best.

Hi,
Boogie was a little worried. She had been accused of being a “rose killer” and even, more recently, a “tree robber” but she was so happy to learn, upon Santa checking his list, that she was not naughty. She was nice! We agree.
Cheers,
Glen and Lana
